ADAM TAYLOR

Adam Taylor has been a UK internet and website lawyer since the early days of the internet. He founded London-based Adlex Solicitors in 2001. Formerly a partner and head of E-Commerce and Technology Group at City of London law firm Withers, he felt that there was a market for specialist internet business lawyers with expertise derived from the City but who did not charge City rates.

Adam is qualified as a solicitor in the UK, Ireland and New York. He has been recommended as an internet lawyer in Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Guide to Leading Technology, Media and Telecommunications Lawyers. He has also been selected as an expert e-commerce lawyer in Legal Experts.

As domain name panellist, Adam has issued over 800 decisions for the following domain name dispute arbitration bodies:

  • Nominet Dispute Resolution Service – covers .uk domain names.
  • WIPO – covers .com and other “gTLDs” (UDRP) as well as disputes under other policies including  Ireland (.IE Dispute Resolution Policy)
  • Forum – covers UDRP disputes
  • Czech Arbitration Court – covers .eu domain names.

Adam is member of the WIPO-ICA UDRP Review Project Team that issued its report in April 2024. See here for more information.
